In Algebra, students can literally grasp the math with TI-Nspire technology: they can grab and drag function graphs or linked objects and observe how their numerical, algebraic, or graphical properties change.
The TI-Nspire technology allows you to:
- Show relationships between the graph of a function, the equation of the function, and a table of values for the function all on the same screen.
- Apply transformations to quadratic, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions while observing how the equation changes in real time.
- Display mathematical expressions-including matrices, inequalities, and rational expressions-that are displayed in a form identical to those found in a textbook.
- Investigate the intersection and union of systems of inequalities, using high resolution images with boundaries that are easy to see.
- Study logarithms with any base without using the change-of-base formula.
- Perform a regression once and observe real time changes as data is added, deleted, or modified.
- Construct conic sections from a geometric definition and use the dynamic features of TI-Nspire to observe their characteristics change graphically and analytically.
- Investigate sequences and series using typical spreadsheet syntax and precise mathematical notation, while simultaneously observing their characteristics graphically and algebraically.
With TI-Nspire CAS technology, you can also:
- Easily factor and the find the real or complex zeros of a function
Teachers know the power of visual learning, especially when applied to the symbols of algebra. TI-Nspire adds an interactive new dimension as graphs, tables, and equations come to life in the hands of their students.
