Why should I download the latest operating system?
You can get the newest features for your TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS handheld and computer software by downloading the latest operating system (OS). If you have a TI-Nspire handheld and computer software, TI recommends updating them both, so all TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS documents remain compatible and can be transferred between handheld and computer.

What’s New in the latest operating system? (Released 1/17/2008)
Take advantage of these new features and added functionality:
- Press-to-Test - Quickly configure all of your students' handhelds on exam days. This built-in feature (handhelds only) lets you block access to certain geometry features not permitted on exams, and then easily restores them afterwards. Find out more about using the Press-to-Test feature.
- Windows Vista® Compatibility - Run your TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS technology on personal computers using the latest Windows Vista operating system. TI-Nspire technology is now compatible with Windows Vista OS.
- Improved Battery Life - Users may see as much as a 20 percent increase in battery life on TI-Nspire and TI-Nspire CAS handhelds given similar use as prior to upgrade.
- More New Features - Polar graphing function, enhanced programming functionality including a program editor and libraries, and menu enhancements.

Now compatible with Windows® Vista (Home Premium/Ultimate/Business). Added enhancements to programming functionality, Data and Statistics and the addition of Polar Graphing.

Computer Link Software for Windows® Computer Link software allows educators and students to share files between handheld and computer. A new version of Computer Link software is now available for download.
